Letter from the President

My name is Jill Diamond (read my bio) and I am the president and founder of Lanartco, Inc.  I am also a trained singer and actor.  My interest in the arts began when I was a child and continued through high school, professional training and into my college years. Through acting training I became a keen communicator. Developing a character challenged me to explore a variety of perspectives.  Establishing a strong voice and heightened non-verbal communication enabled me to influence my audience.  And rehearsing with a cast increased my listening and teambuilding skills.

In 1992, I graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge Massachusetts with a Master’s Degree in Creative Arts in Learning.  I studied movement, storytelling, music, drama, and writing as integral parts of an educational experience. And with my master’s degree, I discovered how people respond and learn in creative environments.  Theatre and music became life tools and not just a profession for me. I carved out a profession within the creative arts when I began teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to young Japanese adults through music and drama.

At the time I was teaching ESL, I was also pursuing a singer/songwriter career in Manhattan. It became clear to me that a career as a musical performer took much more than writing and singing skills. Managing a band, branding and marketing my name and performing in clubs around New York City required serious business acumen.   Though I had deeply enjoyed the expressive side of performance, I realized I enjoyed the challenge of business. I bridged my passion for the arts and self-expression to my people skills and business strength and founded Lanartco in 1997. Since that time, I have been facilitating others in the expression of their ideas.

I tell you about my history because the same skills I built throughout my performance careers are the skills I bring to my business and to the programs and services we provide.  Language is an art, communicating the art of language is a skill, and by understanding yourself and your interpersonal proficiency, you position yourself for dynamic communication that yields business success.

I invite you to explore our website to learn about the service or program that is right for you.

Sincerely,

Jill Diamond
